 WHO IS BAFANG?

Brandsen points out that Bafang works with many OEM companies, but that people might not realise it as the product is often supplied on a white label basis. However, he then notes that Bafang’s turnover grew 270% between 2014 and 2017 and that its current production is one million engines per year, which is the maximum level the current production unit is capable of working at. The company has now planned a new factory in Suzhou, China, as well as a second factory in Europe due to the provisional anti-dumping measures introduced by the European Commission on Chinese imports.

BAFANG QUALITY

We see this type of motor on many electric bicycles. The M300 is somewhat more powerful than the M200 mid-mounted motor, as this motor has a torque of 80Nm. More than enough power for hilly terrain. The noise level of this motor is a maximum of 55 decibels, so very quiet! 

This motor type is also equipped with an extensive display on which speed, battery power, support position and various other important things can be read. 

The M300 is equipped with a rotation sensor, so it measures the rotation of the pedals and provides support based on that.
